Terms and Conditions for Sweet Cart, post box and bay tree Hire.
Sweet Cart / Ferris Wheel
The sweet cart or Ferris wheel can be hired for a maximum period of 6 hours as standard. Hire periods of more than 6 hours can be requested, but may attract an additional small charge.
A £50 non- refundable deposit is required on booking any of the sweet cart packages to secure the event date. The outstanding balance is due no later than 4 weeks prior to your event. If you pay in full at the time of booking £50 will be deemed as the non-refundalbe deposit. A separate refundable breakage charge of £50 is also required 4 weeks prior to your event with the outstanding balance. This will be returned to you within 14 days after the event subject to there being no damage to, or loss of any hired equipment.
Post Box, Bay Trees, Ferrero Rocher Heart, Wishing Trees and Sweet Carousel
The post box, Bay trees, Ferrero Rocher Heart, Wishing Trees and Sweet Carousels can be hired for the duration of your wedding day or any period within that day. A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking date for any of these items (the amount of deposit will depend on the number of items hired). The outstanding balance is due no later than 4 weeks prior to your event. They will be delivered to you and collected free of charge within 10 miles of St Marys Bay (TN29) if on their own or 20 miles if hired with any other item. Outside of this distance may attract an additional charge. (Please ask for details)
A separate refundable breakage charge of £50 is also required 4 weeks prior to your event with the outstanding balance. This will be returned to you within 14 days after the event subject to there being no damage to, or loss of any hired equipment. This breakage charge is not required if the post box or bay trees are hired together with the sweet cart.
Delivery, set up and collection of the hired equipment within 10 or 20 miles (depending on hired item) of St Marys Bay New Romney (TN29) is included in the hire charge. Any distances beyond 20 miles may be charged at 50p per mile.
Should you have to cancel your booking the following charges will apply:
Within 4 weeks of the event date – 50% of the total cost ( excluding the non-refundable deposit )
Within 2 weeks of the event date – 100% of the total cost
The breakage deposit will be fully refunded in all cases of cancellation.
Please be advised that Debs Sweet Delights does not produce any sweets and only provides sweets produced by other manufacturers. Some sweets may contain any of the major allergens contained in the EU information for consumers regulations No.1169/2011. Debs Sweet Delights cannot be held responsible for any issues resulting from any food allergies or intolerances. A list of ingredients and food allergens provided by the individual manufacturers will be provided with all bookings containing any confectionary.
Customers may choose their sweets / confectionary from the list published on our Sweet Gallery page of this web site. They may request confectionary other than that included on our list and we will endeavour to supply these, but cannot guarantee that these will be available. Debs Sweet Delights reserves the right to supply alternative selections of confectionary of a similar size, style & flavour when customer’s choices are not available, but will inform them of this before their event.
Customers MUST ensure that children are suitably supervised to avoid sweets being chosen which may pose a choking risk. They must also ensure children’s safety relating to plastic packaging and wrappers to avoid any risk of suffocation. Debs Sweet Delights cannot be held responsible for safety issues occurring from the use of equipment, consumables or the consumption of confectionary left at the celebration or event location. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that all hired equipment is used for its intended purpose and not damaged in any way. All glass or plastic ware must remain on the sweet cart or sweet displays.
Debs Sweet Delights reserve the right to take photographs of the hired equipment for promotional purposes.
All items on hire remain the property of Debs Sweet Delights.
